14-02-2024 We have two new exciting positions available under guidance of Dr Pegtel.
We have a 2yr Post-doc position for a computational biologist with interest in liquid biopsies. With Dr Florent Mouliere (CRUK in Manchester) and expert in cell free DNA, we study epigenetics and fragmentomics with shallow whole genome sequencing to detect cancer in blood samples of patients. One aim of the project is to advance our knowledge from illumina sequencing to the nanopore sequencing.
We are also looking for PhD student (4yrs) that will study RNA sequencing in circulating exosomes isolated from (blood) plasma of cancer patients. Using deconvolution we aim to determine the origin of EVs. This project will involve translation of RNA biomarkers discovery with advanced sequencing to a chip-based CRISPR detection assay using a lab-on a chip format with colleagues from AUMC, Twente and Wageningen.
Interested? Contact us immediately and send a CV. Please note we are seeking for candidates with ample (proven) experience in Sequencing technologies.
We are always interested in motivated students who wish to perform an internship in our lab. Contact us and experience a fantastic crew of young researchers deciphering exosome biology! Please drop us an e-mail: d.pegtel@amsterdamumc.nl; s.baglio@amsterdamumc.nl
